Getting started

How does your pricing structure work?
GoMeddo is a native Salesforce scheduling solution without any limits on reservations or the number of ‘bookable items’, so no matter how many bookings or appointments you create, you won't be charged more. Fees are charged at a set amount per user per month. You need a user licence for every Salesforce user who needs access to GoMeddo.
Do I need to pay an additional fee to use the Salesforce platform?
If your company does not use Salesforce (yet), you can use GoMeddo. You would need one additional Salesforce platform licence to activate GoMeddo.
Do you offer discounts for non-profit organisations?
Yes we do. GoMeddo is used by various non-profit organisations to help them with their scheduling and booking needs.
How do I determine how many GoMeddo licenses I need?
The number of GoMeddo licences depends on your use case. Anyone who requires access (view, edit or create) to the GoMeddo calendar or the related reservations needs a GoMeddo licence.

How does GoMeddo work with Salesforce?
In order to start using GoMeddo, you first need to create a Resource Type hierarchy, followed by a Resource hierarchy.

The Resource Type hierarchy allows you to define an overall structure of your organisation, reflecting the type of resources you want to manage and how these are structured. For example: meeting rooms, which are located in a building, within a city, within a country.

You can then use the Resource hierarchy to represent what your physical organisation actually looks like: which meeting rooms are located in which cities, within which countries.

How do you add a calendar to a Lightning app page?
1. Go to Setup, and then to the Lightning App Builder. Click New.
2. Select 'App Page', give the page a label, and select a layout. We recommend selecting a layout with at least one large region for displaying the calendar.
3. From the ‘Custom - Managed’ section in the left panel, drag and drop a calendar component onto the page. At the time of writing, the only calendar component supported is the Multi Calendar, but a Single Calendar will be added in the near future.
4. In the right panel, select a calendar to display. This is the calendar record that will drive configuration for the component. For more information, see: Set up Calendars & Views
5. Feel free to add more components to the page, possibly in other regions (depending on the layout you selected in step 2). You can even add multiple calendar components to one page! When you’re done composing, save and activate the page.

What is the difference between a VisualForce Calendar and a Lightning Calendar.
GoMeddo offers a number of calendars. Generally, our advice is to only use VisualForce calendars for small to medium-sized calendars, and when you can’t use Lightning calendars because you require certain features not yet implemented in Lightning calendars.
Lightning calendars can be included on Lightning record pages or Lightning App pages that you create. We recommend using Lightning calendars wherever you can. They are under active development so we are constantly adding new features. If your business case requires certain features, feel free to reach out to us and we will attempt to prioritize those features.

Lightning Calendars pros & cons:
- Still lacking some features compared to VisualForce calendars
+ Great performance for small to medium-sized calendars
+ Good performance for large calendars
+ Powerful extension options for custom business logic
+ Many applications with low-to-no implementation costs
