Built on 140 year of innovation and adventure Jaguar Land Rover brings together two much loved, highly prestigious British car brands: Jaguar and Land Rover. In 2008, the two were bought by Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile manufacturer, and officially joined together as one iconic company in 2013. Sales and profits have risen year on year, with more exciting chapters in the histories of these two brands still to be written.
Jaguar Land Rover has a significant number of vehicles around the Globe on internal fleets to support development, testing and marketing of JLR products but there was no single application to measure, control and report on vehicle volumes or activities.
In 2019 a Salesforce based fleet management system was launched across all JLR national sales companies as a single way to monitor and control the marketing vehicle activities and availabilities. A visual calendar to plan vehicle activities was introduced to help JLR personnel to reserve the vehicles with detail of vehicle usage.
JLR operates 50+ internal workshops engaged in maintenance, test and development of the vehicles on the internal fleets. With the success of the Salesforce based fleet management with GoMeddo, came the challenge in 2022 to support another challenge; JLR needed a Workshop management system that allows users to schedule a number of resources at the same time (workshop bay/vehicle/staff etc).
The 2022 development added a new GoMeddo multi-dimensional calendar to the Salesforce application to enhance the existing functionality and to provide the ability to manage and maximise the efficiency of the workshops and the associated resources.
Improving the vehicle request process

Launch of the Salesforce application with Vehicle scheduling and workshop management functionality allowed JLR to bring 1000+ users across the Globe onto one system. Visualisation of vehicle availability on a Calendar view increased the utilisation of the company assets, helped optimise the size of JLR internal fleets and enabled better control of inventory value on the balance sheet.
Salesforce application enhanced by GoMeddo Calendar functionality facilitated JLR to introduce a consistent set of controls around the Globe and ability to accurately report at any point in time the volume of vehicles and their utilisation.
From JLR users prospective GoMeddo Calendar provides a simple clear view of opportunities to increase vehicle usage and therefore the return on our assets.
Concrete results for JLR
